Rave Reviews

I have over 38 years in the industry as an educator and stylist as well as 32 years as a salon owner. This course has taken me to another level in hair care. Consulting and analyzing clients has been very rewarding for me, resulting in years of successful outcomes. However, I hadn’t realized how complacent I had become with some of the mundane processes of the business. I would recommend this course to everyone in our industry, whether a stylist, barber, educator,  or distributor. The knowledge I received to better analyze and consult clients has pushed me to new levels and it can help push any industry practitioner as well.

~ Rosslyn R., Salon Owner/Licensed Cosmetologist

I am proud to be a hair practitioner in the study of trichology. I am in the hair sales industry and was always interested in providing medical wigs for clients undergoing hair loss. Moreover, I would also have to interface with medical professionals to secure trust as a vendor for hair loss options.  The Hair Practitioner Certificate Course was exactly what I needed to gain expertise in providing cranial hair prosthesis. I had the honor to take the HPCC offered by Trichologist Evie Johnson in the Washington D.C. metro area.  This course has not only been transformative to my career but also personally through the ability to identify and treat multiple forms of alopecia that has been challenging my wife.  Through specialized products and treatment we were able to help her restore her hair growth and self -image.  Therefore, I believe this course is essential learning for all professionals in the hair care industry.

~ Okera S., Hair Practitioner

The Trichology Hair Practitioners course helped me to understand and recognize scalp disorders. It helped me to do a more extensive consultation to understanding clients genetics, hair history, nutrition, and medications. This course really helped me to look for more ways to still give them a beautiful look, rebuild their confidence, treat some cases, and not add to the damage. My love has gone deeper than hair all the way down to the root of the hair.

~ Kanithia F., Salon Owner/Licensed Cosmetologist

Simply put, this class has changed my life! Words cannot descibe how this in-depth study has increased my knowledge and understanding of the skin, scalp and hair as they all relate to the services we commonly render. What I now understand has equipped me to empower my staff to become educated technicians as well as amazing stylists. Do yourself AND clients a favor... enroll in the course. Your salon-life will never be the same!

~ Ngina T., Salon Owner/Master Stylist

My experience with the HPCC training course was phenomenal! This course has taught me to approach hair styling and haircare from a different prospective. I truly feel like an expert in this area and it has given me knowledge and insight as to what it takes to give complete haircare, inside and out. Evie is an amazing teacher and makes the course easy to understand & helps to get to that next level of cosmetology. Thanks Evie for your expertise!

~ LaMonica M., Salon Owner/Licensed Cosmetologist

I heard of the practitioner course after a 2 hour introductory seminar. Immediately I was hooked. I had always been fascinated with more than just styling hair. I spend so much money on products just to figure out why there are so many and what they all do. When I was introduced to this class I realized it wasn’t the products I needed to learn. It was the scalp. It’s an empowering feeling to have a client sit in my chair and I know what to say to them. I can predict their problems and actually offer solutions. Clients feel like they finally found a stylist who cares about “them” and not just their money. Most importantly, I feel like a finally play an important role in my salon. I now have a skill that sets me apart from the rest. I was a part of the very first practitioners course. It was intense by I loved every moment o fit. When it was all said and done, I was proud to be the first certified hair practitioner in Baltimore, Maryland. Completing this course will definitely broaden your horizon and make you a part of an elite crew.

~ Teneek S., Licensed Cosmetologist/Hair Practitioner

I would to like personally thank one of the most talented teachers Evie Johnson. Your class was "awesome!" To learn more in 3 days of my 20+ years was overwhelming and at the same time educational. I now approach what I do from a different perspective.

~ Earlisa L., Salon Owner/Licensed Cosmetologist

Hair has been my passion for years; it is a talent I realized I had at a very young age.  I'm actually in love with all things beautiful, and I find great joy expressing my artistic and technical ability with hair.  As a Hair Practitioner in the field of Trichology, I am enthusiastic not only because I am expanding my knowledge and practice as a cosmetologist, but also because I continue to be a reliable resource and expert for my clients.

I have been in this Beauty Industry for well over 10 years and never knew the information I obtained from HPCC training.  In my completion of Cosmetology, I never received what I was taught here in this 3day class.  This class summed up the masses of questions I have always had.  Being a Hair Loss Specialist for Loc Restoration, providing handmade loc hair prosthesis, I am often servicing clients with an assortment of hair loss issues.  However, not completely knowing, nor having the tools to be able to service their scalp issues, I found myself, referring them out to local Dermatologist and was left feeling a little uneducated.  This training has taken me, my business and clients on a high that I cannot even explain.  Evie was very informative and her training was very intense but easy to follow.  She doesn't even know the fire she has put under my foot; I am so ready to soar.  I can't stress it enough, this training is a Must have for all in the hair industry.  I can promise you, that upon leaving this training, you will incorporate some different principles in your service and consultations with your clients.  I shall never be the same stylist before March 2014.

~ Andrell M., Salon Owner

Arisha , I thank you and Evie for all you did and continue to do. I gained so much knowledge and continue to study my material so that I can be best equipped to move forward and provide excellent in service. Please let Evie know that I am very appreciative of her pouring out much wisdom and knowledge in the course.

~ Cleo Merriweather, Licensed Cosmetologist

This is a must take class. It will open your eyes up in a whole new way and change your view of your role in the beauty industry.

~ Kaerissa N., Salon Owner

My HPCC experience was great. I had the pleasure of being education by Evie Johnson. She was excellent! The information was very informative and it definitely makes me look at hair differently. I highly recommend this course.

~ Sharon M., Salon Owner/Licensed Cosmetologist

I attended the IAT practitioner's training in May 2014, on that first day of class I knew that my life & career would change from the perspective view on how I deal with my clients. Evie Johnson is one amazing Educator and she has embedded a life long jewel on my career and I am very grateful for that. Since the class I have changed and seen some amazing results on my longtime clients. Thanks Evie!

~ Michelle P., Salon Owner/Licensed Cosmetologist

I really enjoyed the Hair Practitioners Certificate Course. It definitely gave me the knowledge and understanding  to evaluate and analyze my clients hair and scalp where I can better serve and help correct problems and issues that may arise. It has truly enlightened and added value to my profession. Thank you again for your positive and encouraging influence.

~ Jacquelyn J., Salon Owner/Master Stylist

I went into this class extremely nervous. During this 4 day journey I learned things I Never knew as a hair care professional. My eyes were opened to bad habits that I have Been practicing for many years. I came out feeling more confident in my understanding of the process by which the body produces hair and how the processes we as stylists use on a daily basis affect this process. For the first time in my career I felt like I was receiving answers to questions that bothered me with regards to why hair reacted certain way to certain things and why some blowouts don’t revert. I had the pleasure of meeting some phenomenal women who are on the same journey I am on and we were able to push each other and support each other along the way. All the instructors have now become a part of my life and I will always be thankful for what they do to educate us. They are dedicated to improving the foundation of knowledge in the industry and that takes courage that surpasses understanding. In conclusion, as a certified hair practitioner I am able to direct changes in thinning and balding in a more effective manner. I am also able to communicate and empower my clients in a much more efficient manner. My capability in providing answers to their many questions has improved and the quality of responses has noticeably changed. I am grateful for the existence of this class as a doorway to my new journey on the road to become a Certified Trichologist under the I.A.T. Special thank you to Arisha, Evie Johnson, Andrea Hayden and Isra Wynn. Your impact is irreplaceable, your sacrifices are worth it, I will never be able to repay you for changing my life for the better. Eternally grateful.

~ Maria B., Hair Care Specialist

I have a new perspective and outlook on the term healthy hair so many people like to use behind their practice. This trichology course has given me a new pair of eyes and ears to understanding the ins and outs of hair and scalp disorders. I am now able not to just see a problem, but can better detect how and why and come up with an effective resolution for day to day in salon hair and scalp disorders. I have gained knowledge of do's and don'ts in salon practices that otherwise I would not have realized or gained the correct information to utilize for the optimum health of clients hair and scalp. A lot of misinformation is made very clear through this 3 day training course. I have a new approach and drive to better myself in my career and to help aid in the restoration of client’s hair and scalp disorders. Taking this course was a breath of fresh hair, I would find myself getting frustrated in the salon often doing what I thought was best and the correct way of solving problems with no positive long lasting results as the outcome. I completed this course less than a month ago and immediately adjusted my ways of doing things in the salon. Once you understand the principles of hair and scalp you will see and make a world of difference with clients and peers around you. Evie is an awesome person and instructor, she made 3 days of intense information seem like a breeze, when she says "you will get it" have no doubt you will!!!

I feel liberated and free from all the unknowing, I have a firm foundation and understanding of what it is I’m doing and why.

~ Aja Nelson, Licensed Cosmetologist

This class was sooooo exciting. Even after being in the industry for over 20 years, I learned so much and also realized there were some things I should not have been doing. Evie is a great instructor and will work with you in every way possible to make sure you get it. She and her assistant Arisha make a great team, they are genuine and they care about the education you're receiving. I felt welcome from the beginning and there was a great spirit in the room when I walked in.

~ Lavina Battle, Licensed Cosmetologist

I just want to say Thank You!!!  I really appreciate all that you have done for me.  I feel empowered. What an asset for me and my business.
